Color Me Blooms

This week I had some creative fun with STAMPlorations Color Me products. Remember, there are lots of ways to use colorable products, even if you’re not a fan of coloring with pencils or markers.

For these cards, I used an inky technique with Distress Oxide Inks. I applied Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide to a piece of the clear packaging from one of my stamp sets (I have a pouch where I save all of that packaging for lots of creative uses).

Next I sprayed the inky packaging with water, and then I used the packaging to dab and “paint” the ink onto the STAMPlorations Color Me Blooms Spring Florals Colorables.

Next, I used the same technique with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink on the leaves. I stamped a sentiment from STAMPlorations Wonderful Life, and then added spatter using regular Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, before die cutting with a stitched rectangle.

I used foam tape to attach the inky panel to a piece of STAMPlorations Industrial Patchwork Collage Paper.

For my second card, I used Picked Raspberry and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink with one of the STAMPlorations Framed Flowers Colorables.

I framed the inky panel with navy cardstock and attached it to another piece of the STAMPlorations Industrial Patchwork Collage Paper.

I finished by attaching it to a raspberry card base and finished with a sentiment from STAMPlorations Beautiful Courage attached with foam tape.

And remember, there’s a March Anything Goes Challenge at STAMPlorations, so make sure you link-up all of your awesome creations.
