The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is to create a card inspired by a book, movie or song.

I was playing around with papers inspired by this wonderful Scrapbooking Layout by Nicole Santos. I went searching for a large heart die and thought I found one tucked way in the back of my Lawn Fawn products bin. Then when I went to cut, I remembered why it was tucked in the back … the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching Hearts only cuts the stitching holes in the design of a heart … it doesn’t cut the heart out.

So I pivoted for my card inspired by the movie Love Actually. I attached the torn paper scraps to a piece of thin cardstock. I ran it through my die cutting machine, and then I turned it over and cut out the heart using the pattern on the white cardstock to get an even edge (the front with the patterns was too busy to get a clean cut … ask me how I know LOL).

I used papers from Lawn Fawn’s Knit Picky Petite Fall and Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Petite Scallops for my heart and background. I die cut a smaller heart using Lawn Fawn Candy Hearts from one of the papers that was inspired by the heart on the tag on the movie poster. and used foam strips to attach a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Hearts stamp set.
