The newest challenge at Shopping Our Stash is Free is Good – to make a card using something you got for free. It might be an RAK from a friend, a freebie included with an order, something you got as a door prize at a crafty event, something gifted to you because people think you can use just about anything on a card … you know: free!

When I finish reading books, I donate them to one of the Free Little Libraries in our neighborhood … and while I’m there, I always go through what’s inside to see if there’s anything I might need.
Today’s card is made by die cutting a damaged children’s board book I found. I just loved the illustrations and figured that one day it would find a home … and today is that day.

I used a stitched rectangle die that cut right through the chipboard. I found the perfect sentiment to add from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Meow (which was already stamped a die cut in my simple strips stash), so this card came together super-quickly.
I’m also linking-up at the Anything Goes Challenge at the Cut It Up! Challenge Blog.

Way to go shopping your stash for that sentiment strip!! I love how you used the printed MEOW on the book page along with your sentiment strip!! #SOS564
