The end of the year is near, which often means people choosing to retire. This card is for a co-worker who homes to be able to spend more time in her garden with her flowers.

I started by stamping and stenciling Waffle Flower Elegant Flowers (and leaves). I die cut the elements and positioned them using the sketch from the As You See It Challenge (with the flowers as the circular element.
I used two of the Waffle Flower Additional A2 Layers Dies and white cardstock to create the frame.

I decided to use shades of Pinks & Greens for the current Color Hues Challenge.

I stamped the sentiment from Waffle Flower Happy Retirement on Vellum and embossed with black embossing powder. I finished with a bit of silver paint spatter.
I’m also linking-up my card to using Dies in December with Simon Says.
I really love the florals but the background was such a great idea. This is a wonderful retirement card. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues for our last challenge of the year.
Those background layers work so well against the beautiful flowers! Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It
The paint splatter is a great idea and adds just that little extra detail. The bright colours are a lot of fun – just like retirement – so great choices. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It.
