Elegant Flowers Retirement

The end of the year is near, which often means people choosing to retire. This card is for a co-worker who homes to be able to spend more time in her garden with her flowers.

I started by stamping and stenciling Waffle Flower Elegant Flowers (and leaves). I die cut the elements and positioned them using the sketch from the As You See It Challenge (with the flowers as the circular element.

I used two of the Waffle Flower Additional A2 Layers Dies and white cardstock to create the frame.

I decided to use shades of Pinks & Greens for the current Color Hues Challenge.

I stamped the sentiment from Waffle Flower Happy Retirement on Vellum and embossed with black embossing powder. I finished with a bit of silver paint spatter.

I’m also linking-up my card to using Dies in December with Simon Says.

  2. The paint splatter is a great idea and adds just that little extra detail. The bright colours are a lot of fun – just like retirement – so great choices. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It.
