Batty Halloween

The August Challenge at Memory Box is Animal House.

I already had an ask this week for some Halloween Cards, so I decided to build a card around the Memory Box Cave Bat Die.  I tried quite a few papers before settling on this black paper that has a bit of a gold sparkle.  It really picked-up the great embossing of the die cut and allowed me to shape the wings.  These do indeed remind me of the Cave Bats we used to see when we took the tour of Marvel Cave at Silver Dollar City.

I started by brushing purple ink around the edges of a piece of purple designer paper to make the center look like it's got an evil Halloween glow.  I only applied adhesive to the cave bat bodies, so I could shape the wings for a bit of dimension.

I added the sentiment from Memory Box Halloween Pumpkin stamped in purple ink on light purple cardstock across the center of the card base.

And I took some spooky inspiration from the Anything Goes Halloween Challenge at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.
