I chose to go with Cabbage and Corn, two favorite veggies in Iowa this time of year using dies from Hero Arts Cabbage Corn Crate.  We're in the middle of what they refer to as "Corn Sweat", which means the corn gives off tons of moisture into the air every day causing very high humidity … ick.  But, there is nothing better right now than a fresh ear of Iowa sweet corn … love it.

I die cut the crate from woodgrain cardstock and then applied some darker brown ink to bring out the texture.  I die cut the cabbage from a Gelliarts printed green paper.  I die cut it a second time to add the loose outer leaves.  The corn was cut from a yellow Gelliarts printed paper.  I used green markers to color the husks.

I die cut yet another Gelliarts Printed paper with the Hero Arts Arches Infinity Die.

I stamped and embossed a sentiment from Hero Arts Here For You Bundle on the same Gelliarts print I used for my corn for the current #staycraftychallenge You're My Best Friend.

We can't wait to see how you create with Five a Day.

  1. What a fun card! I’m actually eating corn as I write this! I’d never heard of corn sweat before. Very interesting! Thanks for playing along with the Stay Crafty challenge!
