One of the Facebook Groups I belong to – Gel Print Enthusiasts – is having a fun #GPEJulyChallenge.
The first day was to use a single color of paint.
I chose metallic copper paint, which was perfect for a clean-up print on my plate.
Day 2 was to use a stencil.
I chose Along the River by Elizabeth St. Hilaire for Joggles.
Day 3 was to print with a household item.
On my recent trip to Missouri, I picked-up this back massager at The Dollar Tree with the specific intent of trying to print with it. It didn't roll like I had hoped it would, but I could drag it through the slippery paint to create fun patterns, so I call that a win.
Day 4 was to use Cool Paint Colors.
I chose to go with multiple shades of purple and two different stencils – Tiny Circles by Julie Balzer for The Crafters Workshop & Natural Rhythms by Elizabeth St. Hilaire for Joggles.
Day Five is to use Warm Colors.
I decided to use the same two stencils with red and orange.
It's so fun to have encouragement to make art every day.
