This year for Birgit's month-long GelliArts Challenge, she chose to call it #colorconspiracy24 using a different color combination each day.
The first one started with this combination.
I was at the Whimsical Women Retreat without access to acrylic paints, but that didn't stop me from joining the fun. For the first color combination, I printed with Caran d’ache NeoColor II Wax Pastels and water. Here is my first pull.
And I was able to get a second pull.
For Day 2, we had these colors to create with.
This time, I used Carandache Geneve gouache paints. These were by far my favorite medium I used at the retreat (so much so, that I had my own set waiting for me when I returned home). I was able to pull three prints with one application of paint by adding a bit more water each time.
Here's the second pull.
And the final pull very soft and pretty.
For Day 3's of Birgit's Color Conspiracy 24, I used Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils in the four colors for of the challenge.
I only managed to get a single print with the Pencils.
For Day 4, I tried using watercolor paints.
It was challenging to get the coverage I was hoping for.
Needless to say, I had tons of fun.
