I've been searching for an idea for the February Caffeinated Christmas Challenge to incorporate Hearts with Coffee.
Then a friend gave me these wooden to-go coffee cups with a tiny heart at the top, and my idea came together. I decided to add another challenge to my creativity and see if I could do it in unexpected holiday colors – Lilac & Mint from The Color Hue Challenge.
I decided to shop my drawers of handmade papers, and when I got to the very bottom there were lilac and mint marbled papers from my suminagashi Japanese marbled paper class from 2008 that were perfect to use.
I finished my design composition by using this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch (which also incorporated hearts, so it was perfect).
I used the Hero Arts Nesting Journaling Infinity Photo Frame Die for my focal point, adding a sentiment from Hero Arts Off-Beat Christmas Messages (because you know you're having a Peppermint Mocha with lots of sweet for the holidays).
I die cut one of my marbled papers with Essentials by Ellen Heart Dies and inked my wooden coffee mug with Mint & Wintergreen inks from Catherine Pooler. The finishing touch were some Pinkfresh Studio Lilac Gems.
I'm also joining the Inkspirational Heart Challenge.
