The first Shopping Our Stash Challenge of 2024 is Once Upon a Time – creating cards inspired by Fairy Tales (Dragons, Princesses, Castles, etc.) – if it's not obvious what fairy tale inspired you, make sure you fill us in.
I started by searching for lists of Fairy Tales to see if there was something that might inspire me since I knew I didn't really have any dragons, princesses or castles.
When I saw this fairy tale, Three Billy Goats Gruff, I remembered the joy of reading it out loud to my younger brothers & sisters making all of the different voices and the different sounds the goats made as they crossed the bridge and encountered the evil troll.
My three goats are more similar in size than the goats in the story, but I still think they are quite cute and convey the theme of the fairy tale. They are from the Miss Ink Set Punny Farm Goats, colored with my Graph'IT Markers.
Since the fairy tale is about the journey from one field to another across the Troll Bridge, I added some map designer paper and a fun punny sentiment.
