Gelli Printing Fun

I've continued having fun with Tania Ahmed and her GelliPrinting January Challenge #gelprintjanuary2024 on Instagram this week.

Day #7 was Ombre.  I had fun creating wonderful ombre blends with just two colors of Catherine Pooler ink … the trick for me was using a separate brayer to roll & blend each color (it kept me from getting color transfer).

For Day 8, I chose to do an image transfer with vintage National Geographic pages for the Typography theme.  I really like how transfers look with vibrant colors.

Day 9 was to intentionally create a Ghost Print (mine are usually more happy accidents).  This one features the Joggles Rock and Roll Mask by Elizabeth St. Hilaire.

Day 10's found object was am empty cellophane bag that was previously filled with truffles from the candy maker down the street.  I am always amazed at how wadding something-up can produce the coolest prints.

Day 11 I made lots of layers by repositioning the Joggles Square Study Mask by Elizabeth St. Hillaire.

Day 12's favorite color is Orange for me (clearly I didn't look ahead or I wouldn't have used oranges on the prior day).  I did another variation of layers using three different orange inks with the same Square Study Mask.

And Day 13 is all about Botanicals.  I had this Hero Arts leaf stamp still on my studio table from making this card.  For the first print I just used the stamp to pick-up the ink (which produced the coolest Batik-like effect) and the second one I inked it with the darker ink and stamped it onto the green ink on the gelli plate.

Can't wait to see what creative fun this week brings.
