I'm thrilled to still be Guest Designing at Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero for their Here Comes the Sun Challenge (focusing on Summer).
When I saw one of the flowers in the Hero Arts Pop Arts Flower bundle, I knew it would make a perfect Summer Sun, so I built this card around it. I die cut it from lemony yellow cardstock & added some yellow marker to the center.
I hand-cut my landscape and clouds, and then die cut the Hero Arts Neighborhood Houses Fancy Dies out of four different colors of coordinating cardstock. I added a bit of ink-shading to the trees to give him a bit more contrast and used some foam tape to add a bit of dimension. I added brown marker to the tree trunks and cut off one trunk to turn a tree into some shrubbery.
I finished with a sentiment from Hero Arts Wherever You Go which pretty much describes my entire summer. Thankfully I have a few plane tickets purchased to visit some of those faraway friends.
