#dyicad week 7

Week 7 of #dyicad2023 is complete.

Day 43 was Patina.  One of my favorite effects to try to create with my Gelliarts gel press is Patina.

Day 44 is Wabi-Sabi – Wabi sabi is a Japanese term referring to the appreciation of the beauty of imperfection, impermanence, and simplicity as the natural state of things in the world.  It is often demonstrated by repairing broken things with gold to make them even more beautiful.

I used one of my patina cards and filled it with my gold repaired bowl (using gold stickles) with a Gina K. Design Botanical Duo stem.

Day 45 is Repeat.  I repeatedly stamped Hero Arts Monster Party for my own little Monster Party on an index card.

Day 46 is MIllefleur.  I decided to do my own version of a floral background with flowers on a gelliprint.

This one was so pretty, I used this week's Just Add Ink Sketch to turn it into a card with an Impress Sentiment.

Day 47 is Vermillion.  I used a Vermillion colored card & added Penny Black Stickeroos.

Day 48 is Raindrops.  I thought about one of my favorite things about the rain to me … seeing the concentric circles that form when they fall in puddles.  So I used a bunch of blue gelliprints to create my own raindrop circles … it was a meditative process.  The alphabet is Pinkfresh Studio.

And day 49 is Focus.  I found these fun little puffy camera stickers, so I created another gelliprinted card & added the perfect sentiment.

Another fun week of making art daily.
