I've been having fun revisiting old techniques and learning new ones with Spring Card Camp 2. Yesterday's technique was Creative Color Blocking with Laurie Willison.
I used the colors from The Paper Players Challenge and the In The Meadow Background Stamp from Taylored Expressions to create my color blocking pieces. I cut my background into 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" strips to create three cards.
For the first one, I trimmed my pieces for four different heights. My sentiments are all from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Friendship.
I used a smaller card base for the next two cards with a trio of panels.
These colors just make me happy.
Love that these are bright, happy and mailable … and that I got three cards done so quickly. Super-fun technique.

Very pretty and clean
How creative to create 3 cards with those bright strips! I love them all! I absolutely adore all these wildflowers in silhouette form. WOW! Thank you for joining my color challenge at The Paper Players this week!
Very cool! I love silhouettes, and the color blocking is a fabulous way to highlight them! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week!
