Today's focus in the studio is restocking birthday cards before I head out on vacation this week (warning … likely lots of pictures & food from Washington DC).
This one was inspired by the Beautiful Butterflies at The Card Concept (I made another card last night, but managed to slice my finger open on the metal butterfly antennae of my embellishment and bleed all over card before I realized it … yes, I have mad injury skills).
This time I tried a safer card with these 3-D postage stamp stickers I found in my stash.
I used the raspberry and blue from the inspiration picture with the Tim Holtz Collage Texture Fade Embossing Folder. The layout is this week's Freshly Made Sketch and sentiment is the very versatile Memory Box Big and Little Words in Catherine Pooler Peppermint Scrub ink.

I love those stickers and the colour scheme. A lovely overall effect.
Postage stamps are safer than butterflies – who knew??!! I’ve also had crafting injuries and I’m not talking about scissors! I love the detail in the stamps with the rest of the card fresh and clean – it’s a gorgeous look. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Fun! Love all of the texture on your card, Stephanie! And the postage stamps are perfect elements. So sorry to hear of the crafting injury; seems we all have a crafting injury story to tell! Thanks for playing along this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
I do love blue and raspberry color combination! And those postage stamps images are so pretty. So glad you joined us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
Very pretty! Love the use of the sketch as well as those fun colors! The postage stamp images are beautiful and we are so thrilled that you shared your artwork with us at The Card Concept! Hugs and we hope you can join us again soon!
Hope you’re not cut too bad. Love the color combination you chose. Thanks so much for joining us at The Card Concept.
