Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus

When I saw the current Library Challenge was inspired by Mo Willems, I knew I had to join the fun.  You see, Lauren and I went to the Mo Willems Exhibit several years ago and got to see his creative process … and yes, I got to drive the bus.

Here is the book to inspire my card design.

I started with the peach background and went searching through my stamps for a bird that was close to the Pigeon … I found it in My Favorite Things Mod Birds, which I stamped & die cut from light blue paper.  Since Lauren & I saw Mo's exhibit in NYC … and since I usually think of buses in the city, I used the MFT City Block Die-Namic for my design base, adding a strip of striped washi tape along the bottom.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Sassy Pants Best Friends (an awesome set).

  1. I picked the right book!! I’m so delighted it has personal connections for you – although I have to admit I’ve always assumed Mo Willems was a woman – dunno why! Your card is awesome – I love how you matched up the colours and added the great sentiment. Thanks for joining The Library.
