Tulip and Lady Bugs

I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing for the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog Today. 

The Sketch is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and I used their lovely Digital image of Tulips & Bugs for my card.

Here's this week's Sketch.  I overlaid my digital image on top of two different pieces of digital design paper before printing it out to color.

I tried to implement some of the things I learned in Kathy Racoosin's Coloring Class … laying down a layer of color with markers and then coming in to do shading and highlights with my colored pencils.  I used my Spectrum Noir Pencils and coordinating Markers for this design.

I used my Magic Brushes and Evergreen Bough Distress ink around the edges of my card and finished with a sticker sentiment that coordinated with my hello background paper.  I finished with lots of tiny little flowers attached with tiny glue dots to bring in that element of the sketch.
