We were huge Winnie the Pooh fans growing-up (I could still sing you this song that we had on a 45 record). My brother even had large stuffed Winnie that often joined us on our adventures. So of course I had to join the The Library Challenge.
I thought about using a bear, but when I went looking through my stamps, the Taylored Expressions Sarcasti-Chick seemed like the perfect choice for those colors & layout.
Instead of a red honey pot, I gave her a red Little Bits Crown die cut. I placed my sentiments based on the text on the book cover. I trimmed the little hair on the top of her head, so it wouldn't show through the open pieces of her crown.
“‘When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,’ said Piglet at last, ‘What’s the first thing you say to yourself?’
‘What’s for breakfast?’ said Pooh. ‘What do you say, Piglet?’
‘I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?’ said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. ‘It’s the same thing,’ he said.” —Winnie-the-Pooh
I'm also linking-up at the Cut It Up Challenge where the theme is Birthdays. I used the coordinating die cut for my Sarcasti-Chick … the Little Bits Crown die cut … and I also used two sizes of Taylored Expressions Stitched Rectangle Stacklets.
It's also Anything Goes at Cute Card Thursdays … because she is indeed a cutie.

So cute! I love how you transformed this adorable chickie into a birthday girl!
Thanks for joining us for our Cut it Up for our Birthday challenge!

I love that!! Childhood memories are the best! I think the card is a wonderful interpretation of the cover. That is one of my favorite Pooh quotes also.
Perfect! Yes, I can totally see it’s the book cover – love it. Thanks for joining The Library.
