One of the new techniques I learned at Junkie fest was foiling. Christopher from Brutus Monroe shared his new foil line with us. So needless to say, one of the first tools I added to my crafting tool arsenal when I returned was a laminator … and this morning, I did my first ever foiling on my own.
We created the tag at Junkie fest using a Brutus Monroe Mixed-Media Arrow Stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel and then I foiled it today with one of the new Deco Foil Sunrise Foil from the Brutus Monroe line.
I made a rainbow foiled tag during the class.
The rainbow tag just screamed Unicorn to me, so I inked-up my new Essentials by Ellen Unicorns 'N Rainbows stamps.
I colored my Unicorn with markers and then added a layer of spica glitter pen over the top for some sparkle.
I finished with some velvet ric rak for this week's Fab Friday Sketch.
And I also took my inspiration from the rainbow of colors (and mythical creates) at the Essentials by Ellen Quietude Challenge.
Another product we got to try at Junkie fest were these cool Distressed Circles Designer Toner Sheets for foiling … and this super-cool Tide Pool Foil (it reminds me of an oil slick and would also be perfect for masculine designs).
I added some paper flowers and Eyelet Outlet Bling.
The sentiment is Little Thoughts from gina k. designs (which she graciously gave to all Junkie fest attendees) and layout is from the Stick It Down Challenge.
And there will be lots more foiling in my future since I was the lucky winner of a gina k. designs Foil Mate prize package.
