Birthday Celebrations

I've said it before … making cards specifically for a person is my favorite things about cardmaking … and tonight I had fun making some cards for July Birthdays.

I'm joining The Paper Players Time to Celebrate Challenge (for their 400th Challenge).

I started with a vintage wooden Hero Arts Design Block Birthday stamp inked with two colors of Catherine Pooler ink (I won't lie … without the benefit of my MISTI it took 6 tries to get one I liked).

This card is for someone who likely owned one of those boom boxes back in the day (because I know she rocked an awesome spiral perm).

I'm also joining Anything Goes at Just Us Girls.

The next one uses the colors from the current Global Design Challenge.

I embossed my Mint background and then used another vintage Hero Arts Wooden Stamp Wild and Crazy.

Since my sentiment is my focal image, I added Essentials by Ellen Prize Stag Die Cut (the recipient is a deer hunter) in lieu of the sentiment circle using this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch.
