STAMPlorations 5th Birthday Celebration

I'm thrilled to be joining the fun with STAMPlorations celebrating their 5th Birthday.  I have been designing with STAMPlorations products for three years and love using them.  You can click on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see my Stamp Girl feature post.  There are lots of ways to win prizes during this month-long celebration, so come join the fun.

Today I'm sharing some new cards I made, as well as three favorites from my time designing for STAMPlorations.  During the month of June, we're inviting you to CASE any of my designs and link-up at the STAMPlorations blog for a chance to win some prizes.

For my first new card, I used my MISTI and Distress Oxide Inks to create my own floral background using STAMPlorations Bloom Factory flowers.  I usually try to start with a piece of cardstock that is slightly bigger than my finished card, so I can trim the edges.

Make sure you use your MISTI Creative Corners, so you can stamp off the edges of the paper.

BirthdayEwm

I chose a palette of some of my favorite bright Springy hues.

BirthdayDwm

Also make sure you overlap your images lightly (or in my case, you can overlap to cover where you accidentally smudged some ink with your finger … the MISTI makes it easy to execute a save).

BirthdayCwm

I start with the larger images and then fill in white space with the smaller blooms.

BirthdayBwm

I love how this stamp set combines both solid textured images and open blooms for a wonderful combination … and that Twisted Citron ink really pops.

To finish the bottom right corner of my piece, I flipped my paper and finished with Carved Pumpkin blooms.

I added a sentiment from STAMPlorations Bold Sentiments – hashtag authentic using VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink, which gives perfect coverage.

I finished with some epoxy dot centers for the open centers of my Mermaid Lagoon blooms.  I'm also linking-up at the Less is More Friendship Challenge …

and Tenia's Watercooler Wednesday Challenge Feminine Anything Goes.

For my second new card, I used my MISTI and Distress Oxide Inks to do ink-blending on one of Shery's fantastic sentiment stamps – Typographia Motivate – Quitting.

I didn't do solid inking on the overlap, so both colors would show through.

Here are my three favorite STAMPlorations cards from the archives.

This card has a similar feel to the one I created today with the stamped background and the bold black sentiment.  I love the fun STAMPlorations Mixed Media Stamps for creating a background.  Sentiments are Bold Sentiments Hashtag Authentic and Big Greetings.

Black1wm

I love the fun punny and slightly snarky stamps at STAMPlorations.  For this card I combined Coffee Happy with Caffeinated Christmas (by the oh so talented Becca Cruger).

The *steam" rising from the cup is a stamp from STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements (have you guessed the theme of my three favorite cards yet?)

CUTPhrase1SASwm

My final card also uses STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements to create a wonderful inky background … the sentiment is a CUTPlorations Art Happens Die (cut from a scrap of textured designer paper).

I hope you'll click on over to the STAMPlorations Blog and leave me a little love … and honor me by CASing one of my cards for your inspiration.

  1. What an amazing amount of cards from the archives Stephanie, and each one is very beautiful. Your stamping on the first card is so crisp and colourful. Unfortunately it does cover up the clean, open, non-patterened space that we love to see at Less is More. It is a fab technique though. Thank you for letting us see it xx

  2. I love all of these bright and colorful cards…both old and new! I think the last one is my favorite….something about the blue card front and your perfect little arrangement in the corner!
I’d love for you to link this up to the Cropstop blog where it’s always “Anything Goes” as long as you use a product or two from one of the companies they carry in the store. (You did!)
