The theme at Jingle Belles this week is Hark the Herald Angels SING … we're creating with music … it could be sheet music, music notes or even a musical instrument.
As I went to my sheet music stash, several pieces on top were torn and crumbling with age. I decided to use them to create a collaged background on a piece of ivory cardstock. After assembling it, I sponged on some Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink.
I trimmed my background into three panels and created three holiday cards using some journaling cards from my stash.
For the first one I added a vertical wrap of twine and a sentiment sticker.
The second one has a horizontal wrap of twine and three cards attached with foam tape.
The final one has a wrap of darker red twine with neutral hued cards.

holy ♥WOW♥ i loooooooooooove this idea, the collage (with oxides on top… dang… now i totally NEED oxides!) and the cards! yowza! these are awesome! (kinda totally glossing over the fact that you went vintage & collagey whilst i used all newish stuff & didn’t even ink anything?!? some sort of weird twilight zone stuff happening here… but i like it, lol…) 🙂 🙂 🙂
ps: whose mini journal cards are those? they’re very cool!
