Whale-y Fun

When I saw the January Pin-Sights Challenge at Ellen Hutson, I knew I had to break-out my newest products and create.

The shape and color of the Sweet Magnolia Peas reminded me of the new Essentials by Ellen S'Whale Stamps, as well as the new Strands Die Cut.

I started by creating my background using Violet & Orchid Color Burst (I got to spend some time creating with Color Burst (and Ken Oliver) at Creativation … so fun).  I die cut my strands, attached the watercolor paper to my background, and then replaced a few of the die cut pieces.

I die cut my whale from the same background after stamping in Versafine Black & Clear Embossing, so it would pop against the colorful background.

I'm also joining the Watercolor Background Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks and Anything Goes at Tuesday Throwdown.
