Mr. & Mrs.

When I saw the theme at Retro Rubber was Wedding Bells!, I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use.

This Bride & Groom Stamp by A Muse still has the label from my favorite stamp store on the end … Expressions with Heart in Oskaloosa, Iowa.  I used to take a vacation day from work once or twice a year, so I could make the several hour drive with my stamping girlfriend and spend the day wandering through that store (it didn't hurt that there was a Brown's Shoe Store right across the street, so I would usually spend quite a lot of money on those trips).  I learned so much from the owner Pam Sparks, (who is still my friend today even though her store is long closed) and by looking carefully at the many samples she had displayed.  This stamp was likely purchased in 2005, so that makes it at least 12 years old … it is still my all time favorite wedding stamp.

The sentiment is also a vintage A Muse wooden stamp, likely at least 10 years old … another timeless classic.

I used the Tall & Skinny Layout from Sunday Stamps (the black & white washi tape is actually a Halloween tape … love that) and I added a vintage embossing folder too.

CCCB #369

And I'm joining the City Crafter Challenge where the theme is Black & White … perfectly elegant for a wedding card design.
