I wanted to play along with AltENew's February Inspiration Challenge. Unfortunately, I have no AlteNew Floral Stamps (something I clearly need to remedy), so I created some abstract flowers using Dodecagram & my MISTI on watercolor paper.
The inky smudges were originally a mistake (note to self, clean extra ink off the MISTI cover before stamping again), so I turned them into a design element by adding more ink to the MISTI cover and strategically placing more smudges to create a background for my abstract blooms … a happy accident.
To bring in the textural element of the shutter in the background, I scored lines after stamping. Sentiment is from AltENew Label Love. Bling is from Eyelet Outlet.
