I love how inspiration challenges push me to combine elements that I otherwise would never use together …
that's what happened with the current Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge.
Can you guess which of the photographs inspired my card?
When I saw the chandelier crystals, I immediately thought of the diamonds from EBE You Rock. I die cut it without my usual shim, so the piece stayed together easier and then I immediately applied adhesive to the back to keep all of the little pieces in place.
Next I went hunting for an element to use as my chandelier … I die cut the EBE Laurel Wreath from two different scraps of metallic cardstock to try to capture the patina of the chandelier in the photograph.
I finished with blue & copper sequins and EBE Be-YOU-tiful cut from a third shade of copper metallic cardstock.
The card ended-up a bit quirky (especially if you don't understand the original inspiration) … but I love it … especially the creative process to make it.
