I spent the morning cleaning my studio, only to spend the afternoon getting it messy again … ahhh, the circle of art. I wanted to join the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at SplitcoastStampers … the community where I fell in love with card making. I've been a fan club member since 2006 and still dream of one day being chosen as a Dirty Girl.
I decided to play with my new Ken Oliver Color Burst powders that I picked-up on our Chicago adventure. I went a bit too heavy, so I decided to add more water and texture to the background and then use a second piece of watercolor paper to pick-up the excess color. Here are the three pages I created.
I took my inspiration from today's SCS Inspiration Challenge site Artful Home. I chose this amazing Shakesphere Euro Coat as my inspiration.
I cut apart two of my pages and combined them with a fabulous American Gothic stamp I also found in my Chicago Adventures (there's no company on the wood block, so I don't know who makes it).
I finished with a Tim Holtz Small Talk Sticker, a piece of Iowa Native Flair from A Flair for Buttons and a few purple gems. I love it.

HAHA! Love it!
