As I've said many times before, I love being able to make customized cards for people … I never have to worry about finding the *right* card, because I just make it.
The Third Thursday Challenge at Crafty Steals is Bring Back the Sun … to make a card that incorporates:
- a color found in the sun: this can be a variant of yellow, orange or red
- a color found in the sky: blues, whites/creams
- a shape found in the sky: circles, clouds, butterflies, etc.
I've got them all in my fun Welcome Back card … and of course that growing corn needs lots of sun too … it's been fun to see all of the crops peeking through the dirt in the Iowa fields.
Cornstalk is from My Favorite Things & the top sentiment is from My Favorite Things At the Office … tiny Welcome Back is from a retired Sweet Stamp Shop set called Sentimental Birds. I finished with a tiny butterfly punch in sunshine orange and some torn Core'dinations cardstock for my landscape.
What a cute card! I would love to get my hands on some of those corn stalk dies! I grew up in Iowa and these are so fun!
