We're still celebrating No Time Like the Presents at Jingle Belles … creating cards using leftover wrapping paper or gift tags.
My card background is tissue paper that I saved from a Papaya! Arts gift I received over a year ago … I figured it was time to find it a home on a holiday card.
I adhered the tissue paper to white cardstock using a glue stick (and embracing the wrinkles because I love the linen-like look). Next I added lots of glittery snowflake stickers, a wrap of Raspberry Fizz Ribbon, and a sticker sentiment (all falling within the Use It Up category – yay! I love my non-traditional holiday design.
I'm also joining The Paper Players where Everything Old is New Again … I love recycling & repurposing.

Gorgeous card, Stef! Love your beautiful re-purposed tissue paper. The faux silk technique is one of my favorites. Thanks for playing along with us this week at The Paper Players!
Holy buckets and all that is right with the world… I saw your card in the Jingle Bells gallery and had to pop over to tell you how STUNNING it is. I am in love! And that’s tissue paper?! This is a true work of art. Ok, I’m done gushing now.
Wow! Such a fun idea to re-purpose the tissue paper…I had no idea! You have inspired me to try this technique!! And your color choice of the Raspberry Fizz ribbon sets everything off perfectly! Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players this week!
Wowee, gorgeous! I LOVE the tissue paper! Those fab snowflakes and such a fun colour combo makes for a fabulous card! I agree, the wrinkles really add to the desgin! Happy Weekend and thank you for the continue inspiration!
