The January Challenge Theme at a2z Scrapbooking is *New To You* … break out those products you got for Christmas (or in my case, those products you've purchase but never used), and make something fun.
I decided to ink-up my new Hero Arts BasicGrey High Line Geometric Background stamp for my design.
I used Hero Arts Pale Tomato and Hero Arts Iris Chalk ink to ink alternating double rows on the stamp. I didn't *love* the effect, so I inked the stamp a second time using only the Iris Ink and over-stamped (just eye-balling it, so it was slightly off creating what turned out to be a cool shadowy effect).
I still wasn't *loving* it, so I started cutting the background apart into rectangles and playing with those … and this is the final design. You just never know where creative play is going to take you.
The sentiment stamps are Hero Arts Yay! … and I used Wink of Stella to add a little sparkle to my stars.
