When I saw the {be inspired} Color Challenge at the Unity Stamp Company, I wasn't quite sure about it … I pretty much never combine two shades of red when I design.
I held my Spectrum Noir marker sheet-up to the computer screen to try to match the reds as closely as possible (which turned out to be DR6 and DR7), then I used those markers, together with a Pilot Silver Marker to color Unity Candles, Stars & Birthday Wishes (after stamping it in gray and clear embossing).
Next I took my colored image over to my scrap bin and found two coordinating shades of red cardstock (and a scrap of silver glitter paper) to finish my design. I also used the Unity Sketch (flipped to work with my vertical image).
Instead of snowflakes, I embellished with lots of punched & layered stars.

well, i already liked to combine shades, but if i hadn’t *THIS* gorgeous card would’ve been all i needed to convince me! not to mention that it’s such a GREAT version of the sketch, as well! (YOWZA!) <3
