Live, Love, Laugh Mailboxes

I love the look of white-on-kraft at the CASE Study Challenge.

I also wanted to join the Square Card Challenge at Impression Obsession, so I knew one of the Cover-A-Card stamps in my stash would be perfect.  I chose Gradation (CC015), which I stamped in White ink on a piece of Kraft paper.

My first attempt at stamping my background didn't quite have full coverage, so I tried to over-stamp a second time and it got a bit messy.  However, I thought the soft smudged ink would be a perfect place to stamp Live, Love Laugh Mailboxes in Dark Brown ink … I love how it carries the pattern though the design.

Although the Mailbox image is rectangle, I trimmed it down to a square, so I could add a few die cut feathers (from a natural off-white paper), to bring in that element from the inspiration card.  I used a white chalk pen to add some highlights to the image including the birdie and letter in the mailbox  Ticket corner punches and brown frames, and the card was done.
