Fusion Challenge – Bedroom

Here's the first Fusion Challenge of 2014.

BedroomThe first thing I did was look at the colors in this gorgeous bedroom … and the balance of those colors in the overall color scheme.  Next I looked at the sketch & decided where I could use those same colors and get a similar balance.

My next step was to think about what I wanted to use for the central sketch elements … for me, Inchies were the obvious choice.  When I saw the LP inchie, the design just fell together from there. I also wanted to incorporate the Quatrafoil design from those great pillows, which was the perfect background for my rock 'n roll elements.

The grey background has a "truck-bed" embossed pattern, which was perfect for a masculine birthday card design.  The gold scrapper's floss reminded me of guitar strings (and pulled out the subtle gold hue from the bedroom rug) … and I could resist a few sequins.  The birthday benner from Unity's Birthday Jubilee was the finishing touch.

How to play … please come join the fun:

1. Play with just the sketch challenge.

2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.

3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.

4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.

5. Please read the other considerations on the Our Rules Page before playing along.

And make sure you check out the designs from the other Team Members:

  1. I love those fun musical images…I have a house full of boys that are really starting to love playing/singing…I think I need those stamps! Fun take on the inspiration!
