The Stockings Were Hung by the Chimney With Care …

We're still celebrating Holiday Traditions at Jingle Belles this week.  As a child, one of my favorite holiday traditions was waking-up on Christmas morning to see what Santa had left in my stocking.

At Mom's, he always left an apple, an orange, and a glass  bottle of Coca-Cola (a real treat), as well as lots of other fun little goodies.  Mom had made us each beautiful stockings decorated with felt sequin ornaments with our names on the top.

At my Grandma's we all had matching red stockings with white felt trim … and they always contained a package of Andes Mints … yum.

The stockings on my card are chipboard stickers from Pebbles.

Since our stockings always hung on the brick chimney, I added red textured cardstock embossed with the Darice Brick Pattern Embossing Folder and added a brown cardstock mantle.

I finished with with a beautiful Holiday Memories sentiment  from the Jingle Bells Sentimentals set (love those circle sentiments) stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink and embellished with green pearls.

If you're creating using Crafter's Companion stamps, make sure you link-up at the December Winter/Christmas challenge.

  1. Yes indeed! Stockings are the best!!! We were always allowed to open them first, when we woke up nice and early, lol!
Love your stocking card. Such a fun embossed background.
Thanks again for such a fun challenge!
