A Little Bit Oriental Blog Hop

We're celebrating Sheena's newest release with a fun Crafter's Companion Blog Hop.  The new release is called A Little Bit Oriental and features lots of great Asian-themed designs.  The collection has four beautiful stamp sets, four 5×7" embossing folder, and a paper pad with 48 sheets of coordinating patterned paper with 16 different designs.

My card is created using stamps from a set called Oriental Silhouette … I love using Silhouette stamps on designer papers.  This card was my first attempt stamping on Tim Holtz Grid Designer Paper.

After stamping I sponged on some Memento Nautical Blue, Paris Dusk & Bamboo Leaves ink for a bit more dimension.

I tried the same design for my second card, this time framing it in black cardstock … I think the frame really helps make the silhouette designs pop

I just love the pair of cranes in the sky.

Now head on over to the Crafter's Companion Blog for links to all of the Hop Participants … make sure you leave a comment on each blog … one commenter will be chosen at random to receive thier choice of one of the new stamp sets.

  1. This is just lovely! I didn’t think of using a stamp on patterned paper, but it looks great. Love the colors, too.

  2. A really georgeous card. The tree is a really useful stamp and could be used on all sorts of cards but with the cranes in the background looks so oriental.
