This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to use your oldest punch.
I remember when I first starting making cards, I would use the punches in the classroom at the local stamp store. While I don't have an exact memory of the first one I added to my own studio collection, I'm pretty sure it was one of these Marvy or EKSuccess Flower Punches I used on my Marina Mist blooms … and flower punches are still one of my favorites … here they are on a card back from December 2006.

My inspiration for this card comes from the card by Lynn Mangan at this week's Muse Challenge. Say Cheese Die Cut is from Lawn Fawn.
I used the hues from this week's ColourQ Challenge.

The fern leaf punch was also a very early purchase … I remember it being one of the first punches I saw used on a card in a magazine that I loved so much I hunted it down … and I still love it too.
Sentiment is an EAD Designs Sticker and the yellow blooms are American Crafts.

Beautiful CASE of Lynn’s Muse card, Stephanie! I love the bold colors and texture of your flowers and fern…so pretty!
GREAT-looking case challenge card! Like how you used the colors and the flowers are terrific. Funky-fun sentiment font, too. 🙂
Great combination of the two challenges! Love how the colours pop off that navy! Thanks for playing with this week’s Muse!
That’s cool that you used a punch you’ve had forever, I bet it’s been forgotten! Great take of the Muse!
Beautiful flower bunch! And a fun combo of challenges. Oh, and I love that fern punch! I would hunt that one down, too 😉
Fantastic card, I like the fern leaves.
Love your Polaroid card, Steph, love the ferns as well! Thanks for sharing your cheery card with us at the colourQ this week.
what an ♥AWESOME♥ way to use that polaroid frame, turns out, those things are so cool they can BE the focal point all on their own. the flowers and ferns are perfect, too; definitely an excellent punchy choice that will ALWAYS look good!
ps: i love that this full-on fits ALL the challenges to perfection! definitely a “three birds” situation here! 🙂
Ii am trying to remember what was my oldest punch…honestly can’t remember at all except it probably was a circle or a square…love your card, so cute to have those flowers gathered around the polaroid.
I don’t know what it is about those leaves, but I just love them! Love blue and yellow together. 🙂
