Painterly Palette Thanks

This week's theme at Shopping Our Stash is "I don't really need another one or True Confessions from the Team."

The challenge is to make a card that includes your weakness … the one thing you always buy, even though you know you have tons at home.  For me it's Thank You Stamps … I have an entire drawer full of them … in every size and font … but if I see a new one that's a little different, I almost always take it home with me (and seldom get rid of one) … what can I say, I'm a sucker for versatile text … and I believe in the importance of sending thank you cards.

This card also exposes many more of my creative weaknesses … ink (the stencil is sponged with a duplicate set of old chalk inks I hang on to just for inky blending situations) … stencils (I have two drawers full and am always on the lookout for more) … cardstock (I want to make sure I have multiple pieces of every possible color … and buy my white & cream by the ream … what can I say, I was always the girl who wanted the biggest possible box of crayons … with a sharpener) … chipboard embellishment stickers (I'm a sucker for cute quirky images) … and even black ink (I have three of my go-to India Ink pads and several refills … because I just don't want to run out).  Okay, I think that's more than enough confessions for one night.

My card was inspired by the Painterly Palette Challenge at the Moxie Fab World Blog.

  2. but see, when you can do ♥THIS♥ with your (constantly used & beloved) supplies, it’s sort of an argument IN FAVOR of having all that cool fun stuff! just in the same way that w/o the BIG box of crayons, one would have had to struggle along WITH dull crayon points and w/o PERIWINKLE for pete’s sake!!! oh the horror!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
ps: this is a BRILLIANT take on the challenges involved… painterly, sketchy, stashy… this thing TRULY has it all! ♥♥♥

  3. TERRIFIC card! Like the chalk inked stencil and the cute little owl w/the big glasses. Too cute! 🙂 If I had to confess to a paper crafting addiction, I guess it would be paper. I have a ton and I always want more. 🙂

  4. Oh this is just so darn clever!! I have no talent at stencils, (lots of recycling!!)but you’ve got it down pat. Wonderful gradient colors. This is awesome and I love the little owl with his glasses. Super sweet.
