This week at Jingle Belles the prompt is an inspiration photo of Scandinavian-themed holiday ornaments.
My eye was immediately drawn to the large red snowflake … and reminded me of a stash of red Stampin' Up felt snowflakes I've had in my stash for much too long. I layered two red snowflakes & a white one … finishing with a vintage white button tied with red & white baker's twine.

Next I wanted to create a soft background for the base of my card to replicate the soft fabric and knitted textures in the ornaments. I tried running a piece of adhesive felt through the James'embossing folder … and loved the resulting effect. I was also thrilled when I got an EAD Designs Vinyl Rub-on sentiment to adhere to the felt.
I'm also linking-up at Christmas Cards All Year Long where they're celebrating Anything Goes for January … and at the Christmas in January Challenge at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.
We hope you find inspiration & join us at Jingle Belles.

That embossed felt looks absolutely fabulous and is such a perfect background to your snowflakes and rub-on. Love the CAS design too.
