Washi Boo!

I read all of my blogs using Google Reader and I group all of the challenge blogs together, so I can keep track of things I want to try … it also helps when I read through them together because as one challenge idea is ruminating in my brain, I might see another that completes the creative cycle … which is what happened with this card.

It started with this week's Dynamic Duo Color Combination of Lucky Limeade & Black with a Dessert Challenge to use a Halloween theme.  I knew I wanted to use the knew lime fabric Amy Tangerine thickers I picked-up on my recent travels.

Next I saw the Hand Wash Cold Challenge at the Drunken Stampers (to use Washi Tape in your design) and the idea came together.

I pulled out a few black Washi Tapes (including some Tim Holtz Halloween-themed) and adhered them to a piece of Limeade hued designer paper from Pink Paislee.  I added a little black cardstock and these awesome thickers … and a card was born.

  1. I have only used Washi Tape a couple of times, and am just blown away but the different patterns you used on your card. I am going to have to get creative, ha ha.
Wonderful card – the BOO stickers are perfect!
Thanks for playing along at Dynamic Duo’s.
