There was a Scramble in the Hero Arts Flickr Group this afternoon to create a card in under 90 minutes by mixing and matching two or more different sentiments to create a new one or using partial sentiments.
I combined a partial sentiment from Heyday Thoughts with another sentiment from the Cuckoo Set. I also added a tiny flower from Cuckoo and the butterfly from Untitled Love.
I added several strips of Washi Tape for this week's Retro Sketch.

I finished with adhesive pearls, Christmas Red Stickles in the flower centers & some Geranium Glitter Dots for a bit more sparkle. Colors and the inspiration for the stacked text come from this week's color story at The Play Date Cafe.

I'm also joining the Freestyle Fun at A Blog Named Hero.

LOVE!!! fantastic job with the challenge Steph 🙂
Oh, brilliant – love the idea of half-sentiments adding up to a whole new one. And the is a super take on the PDC prompt. Lovely, elegant CAS! Thanks so much for dropping by at Words and Pictures too.

*swoon* I am in love with this color challenge, and you rocked it! I have that sketch on deck, too.
Personally, I think the fine folks at HA want us to start cutting apart our stamps. I’m not quite ready for that. 🙁
PS: I totally missed the scramble. I even had an early warning. Sigh.
Way to rock the colors! thanks for playing with us at The Play Date Cafe!
What a fun way to get even more mileage out of your sentiment stamps, Steph! I love how you created the background out of washi tape! So glad you could join us for this week’s challenge in the Play Date Cafe!
I love your customized sentiment! I try to tell myself that when I’m rushing through something or just thinking about what’s next. Love the color combo too. Thanks for playing with us at A Blog Named Hero 🙂
