White cards are a challenge for me … not so much as a design element … but because I'm a smudger. I get ink all over my fingers … my nails … my workspace when I create, and inevitably those smudges of ink gravitate to white space. It took three tries to keep from smudging the background on this design (although I will confess there's a tiny smudge on the back).
I used the three colors from this week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge to ink-up my Hero Arts Leaf & Flower Background.
I trimmed it down for the layout of this week's iSpy Sketches.
Since I'm always in need of sympathy cards, I used a sentiment from Hero Arts With Sympathy. I finished with a punched butterfly and lots of white pearls.
Nice sketch great card. It stands out in the thumbnails so I had to have a closer look”) I know about smudges…now I use junk mail and catalogs I have ready to put on my workspace whenever I’m gluing or inking, then start a new page, it keeps my work top clean.
