The challenge at Shopping Our Stash this week is Something New! … to create using something you haven't used before.
I have several packages of Wood Veneer elements from Studio Calico that I've been hoarding, so I knew it was finally time to open the packages. I also broke out some new Studio Calico Heydey Thoughts Stamps, as well as some Amy Tangerine paper goodies & Prima flowers.
I dyed the wooden butterflies with Manganese Blue Archival ink (love that color) and attached the prima flowers with glue dots (I think the big one looks pretty enough to be a lapel pin).
I added lots of sentiments to tell a little story … I love how everything works together in this design with the suitcase, map, images of flight & text … some journeys cannot be put into words.
The layout is this week's Freshly Made Sketch.
I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

VERY cute, Stef!
