I wanted to try the Reverse-Stamp-on-Text technique demonstrated by Shari Carroll in today's Stretch Your Stamps class. However, I also loved this Distress Stain Technique from Jennifer Maguire … so I combined the two … perfect for the Inspired by Hero Arts Challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
I chose the flower page from my crafting dictionary & stamped Hero Arts Mixed Flower stamp in Versamark and clear embossed. Next I swiped Picket Fence & Rusty Hinge Distress Ink to cover the paper. Once it tried, I adhered it to cardstock (for strength and ease of trimming the edges) before attaching to my card base.

I added a sentiment from Special Note of Thanks together with a Butterfly from Antique engravings stamped on another piece of dictionary paper and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.

Such a nice graphic look.
this is so cool! beautiful choice of colours.
WOWZA…I think this is my new FAV of yours! LOVE it…the orange is so very rich and pretty and the butterfly is thee perfect way to top off your gorgeous card.
Very nice card! Like the colors, dictionary print and the blue, newsprint butterfly is a great embellishment! 🙂
pretty, graphic, and bright – love it! 🙂
