When I saw these cute little Monster Valentine's at Target, I couldn't resist putting them into my card.
They have little messages on the back and are intended to be stand-alone children's valentines, but I thought they would be perfect to incorporate into cards for my nieces & nephews.
The first one uses CPS Sketch 38 for the CPS 5 Year birthday celebration … since it's for the kiddos I kept my design very simple & basic.

I used scraps of cardstock to pull out the colors from my valentine & added a few heart stickers. As I was reading my Real Simple Magazine at the gym, they had a fashion section on Color-Blocking, so that's the style element I incorporated into my design … I think it works well with bold primary colors.
And here's my card I made with CPS Sketch 38 waaaaay back in November 2007.

That is cute. You know who would love those monsters!! lol. She’d be cutting them into little paper piecing collages in a millisecond. Your nieces and nephews will really love them. 🙂
What is it about cute monsters that just tickles me? I don’t know 🙂 They just make me smile – and I love how you’ve used super fun bright papers to show off this guy!
I like your ‘original’ card too – classic layouts totally stand the test of time!
And, finally, I sent off a little packet to you on Friday. Hope it gets there soon!
Ahhhh, i love how you dug up your original card!!!! Thanks for creating with us for all these year!!!!!! The kiddos in your life will LOVE those sweet Valentines! 🙂
