I love the challenge of making unique cards. This week a friend asked if I could make a pickleball-themed birthday card … of course, I said … as soon as I figure out what pickleball is.
I learned pickleball (or pickle-ball) is a hard-surface mini-tennis court that is popular in gym classes and apparently the number one exercise choice for snowbirds spending winters in Arizona. It's a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis in a more relaxed atmosphere … now I know.
So I found a pickleball graphic and combined it with coordinating papers and an EAD Designs rub-on sentiment (which rubbed on perfectly over the embossed texture … gotta love vinyl) … put it all together using the sketch from the final Wee Memories Challenge … and
you have a pickleball birthday card.
Here are a few pictures from our first snowfall of 2012. My sweet birdie still looks pretty when surrounded by white stuff.
I tried to get a self-portrait without squinting, but the sun was just too bright with all of that white stuff.

Thanks for introducing me to the world of Pickleball! How interesting. Your card turned out very nice. And, keeping with the “green” theme, you look good in that shade of green! 🙂
Fun card and your snow pics are great!
