Flowering Tea Light Card

This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from the wonderful store of Ten Thousand Villages, a Fair Trade Retailer.  Ten Thousand Villages' mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.

My card was inspired by this beautiful Flowering Tea Light Holder in traditional Vietnamese blue and white.

5408170_1_1I used stamps from Rogue Redhead Design's Floriculture Plate and Ranger Cobalt Archival Ink to create my monochromatic design.

I used a circle shape for my card in keeping with the candle shape and added a sentiment flag.  I use a square punch for the end of my flags.  I didn't have any matching pearls, so I painted some white ones using the Archival Ink … worked like a charm.

I hope you find Inspiration.
