I finally inked up my Paper Smooches stamps to play along with the current Sparks Challenge, which is to make a card inspired by this photo.
I started by pulling in the Orange color & woodgrain from the photo by doing lots of paper piecing for my Spiffy Scooter with Basic Grey Woodgrain papers from Basic Grey's Life of the Party Collection & brown cardstock (for the wheels & seat).
As I played around with my scene, I decided I needed someone to drive the Scooter … so I added the fun little paper-pieced bat from Falling for You (although I'm guessing it's a bit hard to steer with those wings). I cut apart several of the sentiments from that set to get what I wanted (one of the pluses of unmounted stamps).
I finished with a several layers of Washi Tape for my road and a few puffs of smoke … this card makes me smile (as does another Cardinal victory in the World Series Game).

I can comment! I don’t know why, but most of the time I can’t. I love the batty driver, and the flames on the scooter (awesome!), and I also love that you’re brave enough to cut your stamps. Me too 🙂

What a cute card, inspired by that great photo! Kim seems to be such a sweet, lovely person and that seems to “show” in her darling stamp designs. 🙂
