Birthday Sketches

I tried stamping today, but it just wasn't working … so I threw several messes in the trash and decided to go a bit simpler.

I stumbled across some Melody Ross Soul Food Chipboard stickers in my stash that were not aging well (the chipboard was curling), so I decided it was time to get them on some cards before they were beyond useable.  Once they were adhered to the paper, I used a heat gun to flatten the chipboard and activate the aging adhesive.

Thankfully there were a lot of sketches this week with great repeating circle elements.  My work birthday card stash is running low, so that's the theme I used for my designs.

First up is this week's CardPatterns Sketch.

I had to flip the sketch to work with this piece of My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Blush paper.  I added one of the chipboard stickers and several K&Company domed stickers.  I added an SRM sticker sentiment inside the frame.

Next I used the Annabelle Bling Sketch challenge with more chipboard circles.

I used another piece of My Mind's Eye paper, an SRM Sticker Sentiment, and some pink bling.

My final card uses the World Cardmaking Day Sketch from PageMaps.

This card uses some map designer paper from my stash, together with an EAD Designs Rub-on sentiment.

Here's to a great week ahead.

  1. totally awesome, all of them Steff. Sometimes it’s good to not use stamps but to concentrate on all those other things we seem to hoard.
