I wanted to make a card for the Fabulous Felt Challenge at the Moxie Fab World Blog.
I started with stiffened felt I found in the children's craft section at Michael's. I've found it cuts better than the softer thin felt. I die cut my butterflies and then ran them through a Brocade Embossing Folder (several times) to add subtle texture. I added Chino adhesive pearls to the body.
I inked the dotted texture stamp from Artistic Outpost's Generation Redux and stamped-off before adding some subtle color to the Romance paper from the Bo Bunny Gabrielle Collection.
I finished with a sentiment from Artistic Outpost's Lovely Day stamped in Coffee Archival inked on the border of an aged piece of sheet music. I love the variation in color and how the ink sinks into the aged paper.
The sketch is this week's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge.
I was also excited to see my Artistic Outpost card from last week was in the Super 6 at the CardPatterns Blog.
Beautiful card, Stephanie! I love the embossed butterflies! Your papers are gorgeous too.
Awesome card – going to have to go see if I can find that felt. Congrats on the top 6!

What a sweet idea to emboss the felt shapes!
Gorgeous paper too, and I love the sentiment you chose!
