There were several things in this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger photo that I knew I wanted to incorporate into my design.
I loved the contrast of the blue-on-white on the walls and the white-on-blue reverse of the design on the pillows. I also loved the small pop of color from the pink & green of the blooms.
Then when I saw Jill's gorgeous card at the CASE Study challenge, the rest of my design came together. I loved how her panel was white on blue with a tiny pop of color around the edges and in the accents on a white card base.
I inked the Hero Arts Large Fabric background with multiple colors of blue Distress Ink and stamped in on white cardstock. I trimmed it down & sponged the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress ink.
When I was looking for something to use as a reverse of the background, I found a Flip Note card from Pink Paislee's Bayberry Cottage collection that coordinated perfectly … and even had a bit of green in the sentiment … which I think is perfect for the Wedding Challenge at Hero Arts this month.
I hunted for a coordinating pink flower, and when I couldn't find one, I used Sherri's Distress Ink Watercoloring technique and painted my own using the Color-Me-Crazy flowers from Petaloo and coordinating Worn Lipstick ink. I replaced the gemstone that was in the center with a large pearl brad to bring in the design element from the mirror above the bed.
I sprayed my background and bloom with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist for an all-over sparkle & then finished with a wrap of coordinating green ribbon and a few butterflies (to bring in that element from Jill's lovely design).
